Constructed from solid wood with original punched tin panels, which were used for ventilation before refrigeration—allowing baked goods to cool while protecting them from pests.
In addition to its storied history, this hutch features traditional frame-and-panel construction, simple wooden knobs, a long center drawer, and double door lower cabinet storage. The punched tin panels show classic geometric and star motifs typical of early American farmhouse pieces.
A functional and authentic example of utilitarian furniture from the turn of the century, with original wear and patina consistent with age and impossible to replicate.
